Jean Aldridge
Stained Glass Artist
Jean was born in St Albans, Hertfordshire in 1957. She attended St Albans Girls Grammar School until 1975 when she moved to St Bartholomew's Hospital in London to train as a diagnostic radiographer.
She married Malcolm in 1980 and his career as an RAF Engineering Officer resulted in them moving 16 times in 20 years!
Malcolm has now left the RAF and formed his own management consultancy company. They are currently living in Forres near RAF Kinloss, "Home of the Mighty Hunter" - the Nimrod. They have previously lived in South Wales, East Anglia, Yorkshire and 5 years in Germany. Prior to moving to Scotland, they enjoyed a dream posting on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina for two and a half years, surviving two hurricanes in the process!
It was in America that Jean learnt the art of stained glass. "Glass Art by Jean" was created in December 1998 and Jean now exhibits in various galleries in the Moray area.
Her hobbies include gardening, reading, photography and dogs. She and Malcolm have 2 sons, Michael & Christopher and two Norwegian Buhunds, Daisy and Cally.
